{Wichita Engagement Portraits} JulieAnn + Paul

On Monday, I met up with JulieAnn + Paul for some engagement portraits. With how crazy the weather has been, the warm afternoon was such a pleasure to spend photographing! 

These two are so natural together - and a lot of fun to photograph. :)

{Personal} Working hard behind the scenes!

It's turning into a busy spring around here! We've had a few last-minute seniors, so I've been working hard to turn their products around in time for graduation (which is just a 2 weeks away! I didn't graduate until later in May - what's going on with school schedules?!?!!?).

With Mr. Brooks at 11 months, he's more mobile and more "helpful" with everything. :) Good thing I have a new office to work in! (I'll share pix when it's all "done/pretty" .... for now, it's just utilitarian). We made a trip to pick up a package from UPS yesterday, and he decided it needed inspecting. With his mouth.

There are plenty of portraits going on, and I'm working my way through editing them. Stay tuned over the next weeks for some fun images!

{Great Bend Wedding Photography} Sarah + Austin

Sarah & Austin were married 10 days ago on a sensationally beautiful April day in a country church in Albert, Kansas. Friends and family engulfed them to celebrate their love. The story was years in the making, because their Grandmas were BFFs in high school. Add to it that Sarah's dad and Austin's Uncle Scott are also best friends ... and these two were bound to meet ... eventually. When it was finally the wedding day, Sarah said "We just finally get to make it one official big family."

The church in Albert was perfect — Sarah is the third generation to tie the knot in the rural church.

A giant thank you to our friend, Chad, who helped out by documenting the guys.

The ladies started at Austin's parents house, where there were "no boys allowed" of course. 

There are some charming small town-isms, and this sign is just one of them. :)

The groomsmen were a LIVELY bunch! Many of the photos .... well, aren't fit for blog publication. I'm pretty sure these guys are a little proud of that. ;)

This STUNNING brooch bouquet was made by the Clay Bouquet Shop. Isn't it ultra-fabulous? :)

The ceremony was extremely emotional - between the bride, groom and both sets of parents, there weren't many dry eyes.

I could not imagine a more perfect wedding day, Sarah & Austin. It was not only an honor, but a pleasure to capture it for you! :)

{Products} Morgan + Jacob's Wedding Album

Goodness - I delivered Morgan and Jacob's albums before Christmas, and I'm just getting around to posting them! They ordered a fabulous album and two sensational 5x5 parent albums. Did I mention the sensational metallic finish on their photographic cover? Love them!

Who doesn't love a fabulous engagement album/guest book? :) In the right photo, you can see the beautiful texture of the watercolor paper!

{Wichita Senior Photography} Reese

I met up with Reese in Wichita for his senior portraits a few weeks ago. Reese brought some great jackets and a lot of swagger to our session. 

It's always fun to photograph senior boys because they are often interested in the macho/stern look. But every once in awhile, we manage to laugh a little. 

When we arrived at this location, I could tell Reese and his crew were questioning my sanity. "Trust me, this will look cool. It'll be moody and have nice shadows/sunlight." Thankfully they humored me. 

Reese is entering the Navy this summer, and I've been just waiting for the right session to use large flag. 

I did mention the flag was large, didn't I?

{Wichita Senior Photography} Dakota

I met up with Dakota a few weeks ago to grab some quick senior portraits.

Dakota is an artistic fellow, so I wanted to play with sunlight/shadow a bit. Of course, it looks amazing in black & white!
