{Anniversary} Dani + Devon

Congrats, Dani & Devon, on your first year of marriage! :)

{Salina Engagement Portraits} Brittany + Cole

From the first moment I met Brittany and Cole, the excitement these two exude about their wedding is palpable. Brittany is truly one of the most excited brides I've met - and her wedding is a year away!

While they live in Salina, Bennington is home for her, so we opted to meet at the Prairie Lavender Farm for their engagement portraits. :) The scent of lavender permeated everything! The smell was amazing, and the light was even more beautiful.

A few fun facts about Brittany and Cole: 1) 13 is "their" lucky number. They met on the 13th, had their first date on the 13th and got engaged on the 13th. Can you guess the date of their wedding? ;) and 2) Brittany is nuts for Batman. I don't know a lot of girls who are gaga for Batman, but I can dig it!

Thanks for taking the time to make some memorable engagement portraits, Brittany and Cole! We're excited for your 2015 wedding!

{Anniversary} Bailey + Michael

Happy 1st Anniversray, Bailey & Michael! :)

{KU Engagement Portraits} Meghan + Brock

Because they met in Lawrence, Meghan and Brock wanted to take their engagement pictures on KU's campus. Despite the rainy days preceding their session, it was beautiful when we met at the Campanile to start their session.

Even though they said they tend to be "a little nervous" in front of the camera, these two are just so comfortable and relaxed with each other .... it's perfection.

A little love by the lake. :)

Just some quiet moments. Love.

We concluded our session with some completely delicious sunlight ... the day could not have been more perfect! We're looking forward to a stunning fall wedding!

{Kansas Engagement Portraits} Rebecca + Chris

Chris will tell you that he and Rebecca have been dating since 6th grade. She'll give him "that look" and shake her head. No. At least, not according to her.

These two did know one another through middle and high school, but went their separate ways. She to raise a daughter and he to the Middle East. The two reunited when he was in physical therapy/rehab for an injury sustained during his service. He saw her in the hall, went up to her and said "You're Rebecca, but I bet you don't know who I am." She knew his first and last name without hesitation.

Eventually, Chris began spending extra time at the rehab center. "My normal nurse would see me and tell me I wasn't scheduled for an appointment that day," Chris says. "But I had special lunch plans." Eventually, he won her heart and these two will be married this weekend .... it's going to be a special day and we can't wait to witness/document it!
