This past weekend we were in Ellinwood and Great Bend to document Kristi + Cody's wedding.
Kristi and her bridesmaids prepared in a lovely room at St. John Lutheran in Ellinwood.
The guys were issued a stern warning from the pastor about drinking before the ceremony. To their credit, they were well behaved, indulging only in orange soda. They still managed to have a pretty good time.

Guests filled St. John Lutheran Church in Ellinwood to capacity.
Despite working primarily in Kansas, something happened at Kristi + Cody's wedding that we'd never before witnessed: the couple left the church in a shower of wheat.
The couple opted not to see each other before the ceremony, which allowed us to make some dramatic bridal portraits of Kristi, including this one on the left. The portrait on the right was made in a post-ceremony shoot near a favorite hunting spot of Cody's.
Because the wedding was in Ellinwood and the reception in Great Bend, the bridal party rode together in a large RV. Let's just say good times were had by all and the party hadn't even started yet. ;)
