{Photojournalism} Salina's Heel-A-Thon

Now that I've recovered from nearly being run over by a bunch of runners in heels, I've been able to sift through the photos from last week's event!


There were all sorts of informative facts, as well as stylish shoes to go along with the survivors who turned out for the event sponsored by Salina Goes Pink.


Nicki the Pink Firetruck was in attendance.


Breast cancer survivors were invited to sign the truck.


I *think* this is Nicki ... addressing the crowd.


Now, time for some running action. Heels must be 2" or higher. Yikes!


As you can read here, I wasn't exactly where I intended to be when the race started. I was running down the street, removing and switching lenses as I ran. Great times. So I had my wide angle on at the finish line. Still grabbed some excited competitors.


I think these guys learned it isn't as easy as some women make it look. ;)

Overall, it was fun to be a part of an event that encourages women to stay on top of routine mammograms. The entire event was jubilant and a lot of fun. I can hardly wait for next year!
