Jackie & Eric's Engagement

Some of you might recognize Jackie and Eric from about a month ago, when I photographed Eric proposing to Jackie.

We spent some time at the stepping stones where this duo got engaged. It was fantastic because I was able to do WAY more angles because I wasn't in stealth mode. :-)


There was this delicious light going on right as we were wrapping things up and I could NOT stop taking photos of these two!

Eric proposes to Jackie

Saturday afternoon, I met Eric in Hays to plan his proposal to Jackie, his girlfriend of five years. Actually, Eric had things planned out, but we were meeting to find the perfect location.

Unknown to Jackie, I was hiding in a grove of trees overlooking the stepping stones where Eric proposed. I love the unifying element of photojournalism in our work at Heartland Photography. These are moments you cannot rehearse or re-do. They're real people living their real lives and it's an honor when they ask us to document it.
