{Salina Senior Portraits} Xan, Class of 2016

I met Miss Xan when photographing at the Salina Community Theatre. She is one talented young lady! We met up in central Salina for Xan's senior portraits. Xan brought a ton of energy and life to her session, which is always fun.

I love it when seniors have a fun location request for their senior portraits. Xan wanted to use a small, independent used bookstore. Of course, being the literary geek I am, I jumped at the chance for the unique location for senior portraits! I love how whimsical and fun they turned out!

Xan is a theatre girl through and through. She was very excited to take some of her portraits in the dressing room, with the lights & mirrors.

I love how diverse this session was. Some photos are innocent, others like this have a little sass in them ... capturing the multiple sides of a senior during their portrait session is something I enjoy so much!

Balancing on this chair only LOOKS easy. This girl, as a dancer, rocked it.

Last photo to share: A fun on-stage pic. Xan, thanks for such a fun time during your senior portrait session!!!!

{Salina Senior Portraits} Cooper

Dropping in to share a few quick faves from Cooper's senior session. We met in Salina last month and enjoyed a beautiful day for his portraits. As the senior portraits drew to a close, I noticed how amazing the sky was, so we drove slightly north of Salina to grab a few photos right after the sunset, which was spectacular!

{Salina Senior Photography} Molly

Meet Molly. We had a ton of fun last weekend shooting her senior portraits here in Salina!

When her mom and I were talking on the phone prior to the session, the first thing she mentioned was wanting portraits on a swing, but "not at the playground." I immediately thought of this location, which turned out to be perfect with her country dress.

Speaking of dresses, she brought along her prom dress from junior year, which is SUCH a fun idea! And with such a bright dress in a natural grass field, it just jumps out at you!

Amazing eyes, fantastic smile. Perfection. :)

Ian's Senior Portraits

Meet Ian. He's juggling a host of activities, including Scholars' Bowl, debate, forensics, school newspaper and film club. Oh, and in all his free time, Ian has amassed more than 500 volunteer hours at Access TV in Salina.

So of course we headed over to Access TV to include the studio and area in his senior portrait session! I love being able to include locations very specific to each senior. It's so much more personal.

Last photo is from the filming area .... with Ian's signature red fedora. :)

Emily's Senior Portraits

Check out how beautiful Emily was during her senior portrait session! She's such a sweetie and was up for everything I suggested, including jumping off that chair, and tromping through lots of wet grass along the side of the road to make beautiful portraits.

We were joined by Justin, the family dog (who will do about anything for a Cheerio!).

And of course we had to do some basketball-related photos!

Sneak Peek — Emily's Senior Portraits

Yesterday evening, I met up with Emily and her mom, Marsha, for some senior portraits.

These two were complete troopers! They braved a downpour (check out the clouds in the above photo.

We also encountered two stray (sopping wet) labradors who just *insisted* in becoming a part of our session.

More photos to come soon, as well as a slideshow of my favorites!
