Sneak Peek — Amy

Meet Amy.

Not only is she stunningly beautiful, she is one of the warmest people I've ever met. She's also our uber-talented graphic designer here at Heartland. We *heart* Amy! :-)

Anyhow, she and her husband are getting ready to welcome their second child in a few months.

Doesn't she have a BEAUTIFUL baby bump? (and STUNNING home for portraits!)

The entire family was in on the portrait session, but again, I just grabbed a few quick images to share here. Stay tuned for more!

Sneak Peek — Julie + Matt Family Portraits

I LOVED all of my portrait sessions today!!!!!

Here's a few QUICK picks from Julie and Matt's Family session.

Aren't Grace and Ben awesome in action?

Stay tuned for more!

Holiday ordering deadline

We've been getting calls and e-mails about Christmas and Holiday photo orders ... and there's good news.

A week from today, I'll re-post all events from this year and you will have ONE MONTH to make holiday orders.

The deadline to purchase photos will be Sunday, Nov. 23. We want to be sure all photo and card orders are in and shipped so they arrive in time for the holidays.

We'll be taking some much needed time off in December. I to take a honeymoon with my new husband, and Mike to ... well, stay tuned. ;-)

Juno

Meet Juno.

In honor of National Breast Cancer Awareness Month, I've decided to offer some free portrait sessions to women in the midst of breast cancer treatment or who are breast cancer survivors.

Three years ago, while Juno and I were co-workers, she was diagnosed with breast cancer. Her reaction? The same as many women ... "I'm too young ... I shouldn't have to have a biopsy or think about cancer."

And she's right.

It's easy to think "this doesn't affect me" ... but it does.

I was pondering this during this past week, and while no one in my immediate family is affected by or afflicted with breast cancer, it DOES affect me. Not my mom, sister or grandmother ... but my students, co-workers and surrogate aunts.

I want to honor and celebrate the strength and vibrance of these amazing women.

I'm also going to donate 25% of the profits from portrait sessions photographed in October to the National Breast Cancer Foundation.

Ok, ok, enough random monologues. Juno has a fantastic fella in her life.

Meet Buster.

He has the most UUUUUUUH-MAAAAAAAZING chocolate eyes EVER!

Holiday Card designs — 2008

Ok, the weather is cooling down and it's time to think about Holiday cards!

This year's cards are CLASSY! They're double-sized, press printed 5x7s. They are sold in sets of 24 with envelopes included. Card options are either a beautiful linen paper or a stunning pearl paper.

I have a few more designs I'm working with ... so if you'd like something else special, Do let us know!

If you've had a session this year, please contact me to discuss options! If you have a session coming up, I'm excited to rock your Holiday cards!

Some have e-mailed and asked if there are still sessions available, and the answer is YES! But let's get you on our books NOW. We will be announcing holiday ordering deadlines soon, and want to be sure you have ample time to order heirloom photos to give to moms, dads, grandparents and godparents for Christmas.

Peace. Love. Joy.

Fr. Nick's album design

I'm SO EXCITED to share the final design of Fr. Nick's album!!!!!!!!

There will be a few *minor* tweaks, but here she is ... and she's a beauty!

Some of our pages went through major changes, but the above is one of my favorites that our amazing graphic designer, Amy, nailed on the first try! You might recognize it from the sneak peek of the album design HERE.

This is an 80 page album ... it's seriously large. So, sit back and get comfortable. To view the album design, please CLICK HERE!

Karen + Erik's wedding preview (Part 3)

I promised Karen and Erik *one* more sneak peek of their wedding photos before publishing their slideshow so here are a few of my favorite details from their big day. Erik's dad, Vern, loaned them a 1947 Ford Coupe to use as their getaway car. It was a sweet ride and made for some fantastic images!

And I'm sure Karen will be more than thrilled with the details that came out of her hotel room while she was getting ready.

Check back in a few days for a slideshow! -Mike
