{Abode Wedding} Janessa + Neal

In October, Janessa + Neal were married at Abode in Wichita. Both the ceremony and reception were at Abode, and they opted for a First Look (pictured above) so we could take most of their portraits before the ceremony.

Even though the entire week leading up to the ceremony, rain threatened, it stayed away on their wedding day, and it was such a beautiful one! Janessa enlisted the expertise of Faith at Bel Amour Events to help with all of the details and Ryan from Absolute Sound to provide the soundtrack and amazing lighting.

The morning started out with the girls at Charisma with hair.

Then, off to Abode for makeup and to get dressed!

Janessa is such a beautiful woman,  both inside and out!

The entire bridal party was along for some casual portraits. This is one of the biggest perks of doing a First Look and taking the bulk of portraits before the wedding.

The guys have a lot of ... personality. :)

Janessa + Neal like to laugh, laugh, laugh. It was a fun day!

Gretchen at P.ink Creative took care of the fantastic programs & table cards. Love, love, love Gretchen's work!

Just adore this pic of the groom's father right before the ceremony.

Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful ceremony.

Such a sensational departure!

A girl & her truck!

This was one of the funnier toasts we've witnessed. :)

Janessa & Neal, yours was such a beautiful wedding ... thank you for the honor of inviting us to capture your memories!

{Products} Meghan + Brock's Engagement Album/Guest Book

Engagement albums as the wedding guest book are just so darn popular! We love them, as do most of our couples! Meghan + Brock had a stunning B&W image on their cover, so I opted to make it a metallic cover for the book. So pretty!

Because they have so many guests who will be celebrating with them, their book is 10 pages larger than many of our others. We're excited to see it filled with signatures & messages!

{Wichita Family Portraits} Ericka + Sean's Family

Having the same clients over the span of several years is such an honor. Ericka & Sean are the perfect example of this. Not only is it a wonderful excuse to connect with friends, but it's an honor to document their kids as they grow up. And to capture all of those little in-between moments (such as the above picture) that happens as families. :)

Cute couple, cute kids, the end.

It's incredible to think Miss Audrey is in 1st grade. Seriously, girl? I remember holding you as a baby! But there you have it. And I love that Alex comes up and asks me to read a book to him (even if it IS a scary Halloween book!)

So many of our sessions have been plagued by wind. This year, we actually lucked out.

This is my ultimate FAVE from their session! Loved this location, too. :)

{Products} Megan + Paul's Wedding Album(s)!!!!

Let's all just take a minute to soak up the beauty that is Megan + Paul's 2-volume wedding album set. Seriously. They opted to utilize a great feature, which is to mix the traditional black leather in with a photo that bleeds (wraps) around the front edges. What a fun option!

Artistic paper and our fabulous custom design ... can't beat it!

A closer-up view of the cover/leather. Just stunning.

This leather is sensational! The pages are also thick and luxe.

{Lawrence Family Portraits} Joyce + Billy

I'm fortunate to have some very wonderful friends. This is Joyce, my dear friend. She lives in Lawrence, and when I called and asked if I could bring a couple by the next day for engagement portraits, she was like "Sure!!!" Just love her! And her amazing backyard. :)

After I finished with Meghan & Brock's engagement session, Joyce asked if I would grab a few "quick pics" of her family. Of course, I was happy to say "Sure!!!"

Her husband, Billy, is just awesome. I adore this entire family. If you need any construction work done in Lawrence, Billy is your man - info HERE.

Joyce's little boy is almost exactly 6 months older than mine, so it's fun to visit her and see what he's up to ... and then wait for my little fella to start the next phase. :) And her little girl has had this MOP of hair since Day 1 .... like my little dude (except I think she actually has MORE) ... so it's always fun to see them both.

If I were to title the photos at the right, it'd be "Life with a 2-year-old." If you have or ever had a 2-year-old, you know what I'm talking about! ;)

{Wichita Engagement Portraits} Jessica + Kalie

Over the weekend, I met up with Jessica and Kalie for their engagement portraits in Wichita. Every couple tells me they're nervous or stiff in front of the camera, but every time I take engagement portraits, I know they're wrong. :) Jessica and Kalie were so much fun to photograph. Both as a couple and individually!

One of the places they like to go is to Mort's Martini & Cigar Bar in downtown Wichita. After our rural pictures outside of Wichita, we headed to Old Town for some engagement portraits at Mort's. :)

Jessica and Kalie, thanks for such a fun engagement session! Your 2015 wedding is going to be such a blast!
