A long time ago, in a galaxy far, far away .... ok, ok. In April my friend Sarah was in Wichita and we put together a fun bridal fashion session with the help of a few vendors.

It is a rare treat for me to see Miss Sarah, because she lives far, far away. We've known each other for eons. As a matter of fact, I have memories of us as little girls, playing dress up. Sarah is an extremely animated person, and would make the biggest show out of having ME pose for HER as a model while she pretended to take my photo. I smile at that memory, and it seemed to be a preview of our lives as adults. Only it was Sarah doing the modeling and me doing the photographing.

It was COLD COLD COLD on April 7 when we headed around Wichita to some locations for some bridal fashion portraits, but she handled it like a pro.

Doesn't she look like a pro? I told her if she ever wants to give up teaching high school, I'm sure we could find her a job in the modeling world. ;)

Pam from The Flower Factory was extremely generous and loaned us a bunch of bridal bouquets for the shoot. Thanks, Pam! You can check out their blog HERE.

To get out of the cold, we eventually sought refuge in The Scottish Rite Temple. Thanks, Lisa!

And I MUST remember to tell you that all of our dresses were on loan from Diane and her ladies at Simplistic Bride. A BIG thanks for your generosity!

My last nod is to Sarah, who was a trooper ... modeling 5 dresses over the course of a grueling day. We had fun, but I think we both took naps after our adventure was over!

I know I've shown this shot before, but I just adore it and think a bright pair of shoes REALLY pop against a white dress. Ladies, GO BOLD with your wedding shoes!
I had the great pleasure to photograph another high fashion bridal session a few weeks ago, but it's UNDER WRAPS for now ... but believe me, I'm DYING to share it with the blogging world!
Lastly, I know it's more of a southern tradition to have bridal portraits done before the wedding and show off a BIG print of the bride in her dress, but if anyone is interested in doing some killer on-location, high fashion bridal, DO contact us via our Web site. If you'd rather do it afterwards, we can do that as well! We don't always have time on the actual wedding day to take an hour or more to photograph you in your fabulous dress (and I KNOW you spent eons picking out "the perfect dress").
Happy Wednesday!
